Abbreviations and how TTS handles them

Hi,
Really liking the Read Aloud Extension, I am wondering if there might currently be a way or a feature implemented in the future that would allow some abbreviations to be read differently.

Currently, it will read Dr as doctor, this makes sense in probably 90% of use cases. However as I am using this to read information on Accounting topics it has caused some issues,

In accounting, the abbreviation Dr and Cr is used for Debit and Credit respectively and are featured heavily throughout the information.

I am hoping there might be a way to change preference to allow for the extension to see Dr and Cr and say Debit and Credit instead of "doctor" and "C R"
