Firefox Closes When Window Deselected

In Firefox, the Text Highlight box closes out when the browser window is deselected. I like to follow along when listening, but also like to work on other things and I am unable to do so in Firefox. It stays open in Chrome/Brave for comparison. Possibly a Firefox thing, possibly a setting, but any ideas or a fix would be greatly appreciated!
